Scallagrims is a group formed in September of 1999 in Kiev, Ukraine, devoted to historical combat reconstruction. The group practices European based martial arts, and reconstructs Scandinavian and Rus culture of the 9th through 13th centuries through crafting period armor, house wares and clothing.

Scallagrims has a wealth of experience participating in historical military competitions and cultural medieval festivals in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Belarus and most recently in Canada and the US. The club has participated in international tournaments in historical fencing in the sword and shield class. The club's fighters have won multiple championships in international tournaments and are a members of the Ukrainian Historical Fencing Union.

Scallagrims Canada is a part of Scallagrims International and was formed in Toronto in May of 2003 by Olaf White. This chapter is also focused on pursuing the study of European weapon based martial arts.
