- TorVik - A small but growing group, located in Toronto, Ontario, dedicated to living and experiencing the History of the Viking Age (800AD to 1100 AD) in the lands surrounding the Baltic Sea and beyond. The present day nations of Denmark, Estonia, Germany, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland and Sweden are our sources of inspiration and information.
- AEMMA - The Academy of European Medieval Martial Arts or AEMMA (pronounced "ehma"), is a historical European martial arts school focused on the research, reconstruction and resurrection of authentic medieval martial arts of all fighting styles.
- Vikings UK - Canadian Chapter - The Vikings UK - Canadian Chapter is an organization focused on developing and presenting the reconstructed lifestyle of the Vikings. While the Society concentrates mainly on the 10th Century, some events are set in the wider period from 790 to 1066, with the appropriate modifications to dress and equipment used.
- Skjaldborg - Skjaldborg is more a history education group and less a reenactment group. This group provides a more tactile interaction with the public by letting them handle weapons and armor, as well as wool, linen and furs.Through their regular speakers, who provide the historical facts and demonstrate their "character" (who they represent) we shed light on the Viking period. With their full camp, they are able to show how some of these people would have lived, what skills/chores they performed during their day, as well as how they ate. Skjaldborg's end goal is the education of the public and reawakening of people's heritage through a "hands on", up close and personal approach. It's the best kind of classroom when you can be outside, and interact with the history books.
